Design Trend of the Month: Arches and Curves
Those who follow interior design trends have probably noticed arches and curves popping up everywhere these days.
Archways, typically thought of as more traditional, are having a serious modern moment.
Designers and architects are combining curved doorways with complementary rounded windows and arched wall mirrors. The shape is even making appearances in furniture, from curved counters and tables to curvy sofas.
We’ve seen the trend look retro (think bubble light fixtures) or more contemporary, and we like the softness and elegance that a touch of curve can bring to a room.
For us, arches and curves also call to mind the geometry of a sunrise. This was the inspiration we took in designing the Rising Sun Perforated Grille, one of the newest additions to our collection of perforated grille designs.
The shape lends itself perfectly to functional ventilation and ideal airflow, and the symbolism of the sunrise is inherently infused with optimism; looking at it makes us feel excited to take on a new day.
Here at ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE, we stay ahead of design trends so that we can provide our clients with metalwork that meets their needs, from grilles to custom pieces. We love it when a client finds a pattern within our vast array of grille designs that perfectly complements their current project, but if the perfect pattern doesn’t exist, we can surely create it.
